All About Hope...

Multi award winning comedy cabaret chanteuse 'Tragi-comic genius' (Julian Clary) Miss Hope Springs is now in the record breaking 11th sold-out rave-review year as resident songstress at London's premiere cabaret room The Crazy Coqs.

Live at the piano, she'll takes you on a rollercoaster ride 'From the Ritz to the pits' in her 'Laugh out loud-move you to tears smash hit show' (What'sOnStage). With a repertoire of ridiculously catchy self penned all original musical numbers and a plethora of scandalous showbiz stories.

Join La Springs as she unpacks her battered old suitcase of dreams and takes you on a trip down her by now, somewhat potholed memory lane with songs and stories from her 'Ritz to the pits’ life in London Paris and erm, Dungeness (where she lives with her husband Irving and his close personal hairdresser pal Carlos in a camper van). She reminisces about her one time paramours, (Liberace, Tab Hunter and Noel Coward were just a few of the men who got away), and with 'The voice of an angel...A fallen one' croons her 'Life affirming torch songs of despair' (Marc Almond)

You'll hear finger snapping pop, toe tapping show tunes and hysterical point numbers, from her many (unreleased) albums including  Je m’appelle Hope, Miss Hope Springs Swings with Strings, Blood Sweat and Sequins, Vegas to Weimar and her seminal 1976 'Memphis' album Queen of Fools...recorded in High Wycombe! At Christmas it's the umpteenth reprise of her hugely popular 1971 Granada TV festive special Christmas Agogo! (to this day considered an unaired classic).

Springs has gathered a loyal and enthusiastic following since bursting onto the scene. She has sold out prestigious cabaret venues such as Wilton's Music Hall and Wigmore Hall and theatres both in the UK and the USA including The Lincoln Centre in NYC and The Gardenia Room in LA.

Miss Hope Spring’s erm, musical director Mr Ty Jeffries is a prolific composer and writer whose critically acclaimed works are influenced and informed by the combination of his classical training and his love and knowledge of both the golden age of Hollywood and the Great American Songbook. Ty spent some formative years in Tinseltown (his father was the character actor Lionel Jeffries) and in fact Ty once danced down Sunset Blvd with family friend Fred Astaire...

WHAT THE PRESS SAY

'Comic finesse and just the right amount of poison...The adept chanteuse tickles the ivories and other funny bones with abandon'  This Is Cabaret

‘Glamorous…sharp witted..an expert singer pianist’ and writer of deep songs'

Evening Standard

'Hilarious...Song after song attests to her ability to evoke the style and substance of classic cabaret songs of the past while remaining a total original.'

Bistro Awards NYC

'Full of joie de vivre. An exuberant, ecstatic evening...'

Boyz Magazine

'The jokes fly thick and fast, but there’s also real pathos here. Behind the glitter and the sequins there’s a rounded character study of heartbreak and broken dreams...'

Polari Literary Salon

'Darkly comic songs that would give Tim Minchin a run for his money.'

Broadway Baby

'Nostalgic vaudevillian charm with its blend of skilfully-crafted musical number, camp anecdote, and joyously decadent performance... An absolute delight.'

Culture Fix

'A character of uncanny comic accuracy, blending evocative musical numbers with a hint of Vegas. Exquisitely funny and remarkably engaging.'

The Stage

'A carefully scripted and beautifully delivered mixture of hilarious anecdote and original song'

Broadway Baby

'The definition of classy cabaret…Expect decadence, delightful original tunes, and a show-stopping voice to die for' Todo list Unmissable Shows Edinburgh Fringe

'The music is captivating and the stories are riotous. I think Miss Hope may have even casually dropped in what may be the funniest joke I’ve heard all Fringe' Edinburgh Fest Mag

‘Intelligent and witty drag cabaret that successfully fuses comedy with more bittersweet material

‘The Stage

'Miss Hope Springs sings of big hopes and broken dreams….The sleeper hit of the year’
